The frame drum with jingles from Drama or “ntachares” is a large-diameter drum. Its diameter has to be chosen by the percussionist.
The jingles are hand hammered and made by brass or copper. Ntachares is made by a single-ply or 2-ply walnut frame and its skin can be either natural or synthetic. Also it can is a tunable frame drum.
